April Supperclub at the Howards

At the Howard house, we had a backyard Supperclub. We played badminton and horseshoes and spent most of the time fishing. A few people even caught a few fish. For dinner, we had a traditional Lebanese dish called Batinjin with a homemade salad. For dessert, we had a homemade italian cream cake to celebrate a few April birthdays. It was Andy, Brad, Silvia and Christa's (not pictured) birthday.

The girls enjoyed John's signature cappucinos and iced lattes with dessert. Afterwards, the guys showed off their muscles by benchpressing. Again, Darren decided to sit down and chit-chat with the girls :) Here are a few pics.


We ended the night with the guys watching the UFC fight while the girls waited patiently to go home to their beds. It was a great night as always!

March Supperclub at the Layes

Supperclub at the Layes' was a typical supperclub. The guys congregated around the kitchen table playing drinking games as soon as they walked in the door. The girls caught up on each other's family and of course, gossip. Dinner was fabulous. We had chicken casserole and butternut squash soup with homemade biscuits. Dessert was a red velvet cheesecake. The girls had dinner together while the guys continued to drink and eat. After dinner, the girls played "Apples to Apples" while the guys drank some more. They continued to get louder and more annoying. For some reason, the guys like to bother the girls by coming in to chit-chat, Darren especially (Sorry Darren to call you out). I guess they get real chatty as they get more intoxicated. I have to say, they are pretty amusing. We had a great time together, and always look forward to the next one.

Falafels and Bowling

Since we are starting a new rotation next month, we all went out to eat this month. We decided to change it up a bit so we went to the Pita House and then bowling. Everyone had a great time. The food was wonderful and plentiful. If you are ever in the mood for ethnic food, the Pita House is the best!! After dinner, we went to Starlanes. We had an awesome time bowling. For many of us, it had been a long time since we bowled. We split up Girls vs. Guys and the girls kicked butt the 1st round. By the 2nd round, the girls were worn out. Who would have thought bowling was so exhausting. After the guys bowled their 3rd round, we went over to the Tokes’ to watch the UFC fight and “snacked it up”. We can always count on the Tokes’ to fill our tummies!! We had a great Supper Club outing, it was low-key but memorable.

Welcome to our new blog page. We wanted to share our wild and crazy Supper Club stories and moments with the outside world. We really need to come out with a video called Supper Club Gone Wild....just kidding. Anyway, for anyone that is not familiar with us, we are 7 couples that get together once a month to share great food, drinks and laughter. We are going on our 8th year and still enjoy every moment of it. We look forward to our monthly visits with each other. It's a great excuse to let loose and stay connected! For those of you who do know of us, many of you ask "what is this Supper Club?" and "what exactly do you do?". Well, we hope to satisfy your curiousity. And beware....this page is managed by all of us, so you might get some interesting stories. So sit back and enjoy our Supper Club adventures!
